Upcoming events

    • 04 May 2019
    • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
    • Gallaudet University, SAC Room 1011

This workshop will provide interpreters knowledge about how to interpret for clients that are transgender and/or non-binary. Interpreters often sign incorrectly which can lead to offending the transgender client. Blake will show the correct signs, phrases and what the appropriate approaches are to work successfully with transgender and non-binary clients in an interpreted setting in order for interpreters to be more inclusive of all gender identities.
