Due to COVID-19, this year's conference will be hosted virtually through Zoom.

Our Conference Theme

The intention of the 2021 PCRID Annual Conference, "Unite" is to create space for better understanding of the identities and experiences that make our field rich in diversity. Together, we will take a close look at how we communicate, make choices, and reflect on how our individual choices can effectively create meaningful change and positive impact.

This year's conference consists of 2 panel discussions and 7 workshops presenting on the areas of empathy, identity, -isms, reframing interpreter skillsets, matching client needs, and effectively working in Deaf-Hearing teams.

Reasonable Accommodations

PCRID believes in making this 2021 Conference accessible. This conference will be presented in American Sign Language (ASL) on a virtual platform, Zoom, with closed captions and Deaf interpreters. Voice interpretation is also available upon request. Each of our presenters have been given clear instructions on how to dress and maintain a clear background while presenting on Zoom. If you have any questions or a request for reasonable accommodations, please contact accomodations@pc-rid.org with the subject line “Reasonable Accommodation Request” and our Access Committee will be in touch.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

The PCRID Conference Cancellation and Refund Policy will be as follows to assure consistency and is applicable to the annual PCRID conference:

  • Conference registration canceled on or before November 30, 2021 is refundable but subject to an administrative fee equal to PCRID’s cost to process the refund. Send an email with your cancellation request to registration@pc-rid.org with the subject line “Refund Requested.” Please allow up to 30 days after your refund is initiated to receive your refund.

  • Registrants canceling on or after December 1, 2021 will not receive a refund. Registration fees may be transferred to another individual or credited to your PCRID account toward future membership.

  • In the event PCRID must cancel the conference due to unforeseen circumstances, PCRID will refund the cost of registration.
