PCRID is excited to host a session of the Maryland Governor's Office of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing's (ODHH) Virtual Interpreter Study Table series!
CASLI Generalist Knowledge Exam Prep
Lessons from Failure: Rethinking the Exam
Tuesday, November 10th
6:00-8:00 PM EST
Zoom

This session will focus specifically on the CASLI Generalist Knowledge and Case Studies Exam. Learn why the new exam was developed, what has changed since the former NIC Knowledge Exam, and why outdated information and misconceptions about the exam continue to circulate. We'll separate fact from fiction, clarify what to expect from the current testing process, and share reliable study strategies and preparation resources.
Through a candid discussion of their experiences with unsuccessful attempts, changes in testing, and ultimately passing the exam, the presenter will share lessons learned about navigating the certification process and developing effective preparation strategies.
Participants will receive a practical study guide and have opportunities to ask questions and connect with peers in a supportive environment.
This workshop is intended for interpreting students and hearing and Deaf interpreters working toward CASLI certification
