Since 2019, I've had the privilege of working as a freelance interpreter in Washington, D.C. My favorite thing about my job is the novelty of each day! The people I have the pleasure of working with challenge me to be both a better human and better interpreter. Through my position as secretary, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to give back to the interpreting and Deaf communities in a tangible way. What I hope to bring to PCRID is: I hope to bring eagerness and creativity in supporting the PCRID vision and board for the next two years. In my time here, I commit to prioritizing connection and inclusion in the spaces we create with our community. I hope I leave PCRID having shown a willingness to listen, an ability to take responsibility for my mistakes, and a courage to show up and act in my position as secretary. |
